MoneyControl - Income and Expense tracker App Reviews

I spent countless hours looking for a good Money Management App and after trying here and there, I’ve decided to pick MoneyControl. After using it for a couple of weeks, I can safely say I wasted some money here! MoneyControl is a Money Management App from another time. It’s as simple as that. Design and usability is OK at best, but VERY far from what you can find on the market. You have to pay for the Mac and App version separatly, which is just crazy to me. No possibility for Multi-Currency Management; we live in 2017, time to wake up guys! Customer Support is non existing; I’ve contacted them 10 days ago and go no reply, not even a simple “auto-reply” ticket management system email any decent company would implement (by the way, some of these ticket management software are FREE!). That’s it. To avoid.

Very straightforward, easy to use.

This app is simple, easy to use, and gets the job done very well. I strongly recommend this app for anyone else looking for a budgeting app to buy.

My review about the app is a mix of the opinion about the product and the service. When I downloaded last year I was sure it was the best money managment software avalible for free. Easy, great to use, all functions I need and is also great the in-app products. Then they did a upgrade and the design changed. Because I still have I iphone 4. It is not so easy to writte the information on the fields. I didn’t like the change at all. I wrote some feedbacks and did not get an answer. So far so good. Now they there is a Mac OS X version, I downloaded, and I cannot restore my purchase! I send 2 e-mail and I still wait an answer. If the costumer service was more efficient I would rated as 5 stars for sure… Regards, Miro Wallner

tried to figure out how to input wages paid semi monthly as recurring entries, no lucks. after 10 minutes struggling, give up, its a useless app.

I find this app very useful. It can narrow every cents you spend or earn into every category. I buy the full version and it can create pdf documents to show your spends and income.

False advertising. Does not sync. Crashed a few times. No customer support. No one responded to my emails.

1- Can not sync 2-Total Income not considered for each months 3-Logically Wrong Program

Did they even test this app?!! DELETED after about 30 minutes.

I purchased the report extension but when you are trying to create a report, the app crashes and reopens. In addition, reports are not that user friendly. For example, there is no summary income and expense category report that you can see what happened during the month.

I have a different bank accounts in a different currency like Dollar, Euro, TL… I want to add all of them seperately in their own valute and want that app can give me my budget with a daily rate in a currency which I want

The app have a great design and functionality, but very disapointed by crashes the app when i try to add a new incoming transaction, or sometimes then i go to Entries section. And some interface elements works slowly. Please check and correct the bugs.

Very nice application, a little unorthodox. It would be nice if there was some instructions on what is going on, example: After entering a recurring entry, there is noway to know if you need to manually enter your selection or if it will be automatic. It is automatic, but you have no indication when it makes the entry. There is no sign or noise or any movement or notification the entry has been completed. It takes awhile to get use to the way it works, since it is different from all other double entry bookkeeping methods I have used. It does have a nice reporting system. The program is lacking in some fundamental ways. But its wotth what you have to pay for it. Dont expect to get any support. I wrote two times asking questions and never got a response. I just had to figure our for myself what problems I was having.

This is a great app it helps me keep my money organized, know how much I have and where it is and how I have spent it. I can look at graphs to check how I am spending my money and see all my transactions for the month. One down side is you cannot preview in the app the way you have spent over the past year, I think its a big downside, however I hope they can make this change to improve the program. When you can see where your spending your money then you can also see where you need to make changes or when to transfer money to other accounts. One more down side is you can only work with one currency, so if you travel and use multiple currencies, you wouldnt be able to record that money, I hope they can also work on making a multi curreny accounts. I also think it would be nice for them to add more icon options for categories. Overall, it is a very nice program. They just need to work on a few things but is worth it.

I have been looking for an app that keeps track of where my money comes and goes. This app does it just right! It features Account/Categories/Persons/Groups to help you tag an expense to the correct information. Despite it actually costs you 13.99 to fully unlock, this app is definitely worth a try!

So far I really like this app. It is simple, which is what I like most. I enjoy importing transactions on my own, I feel it gives me better awareness of where my money is actually going. Clean and nice.

Have used it on my iPad for a long time, and now got it for my mac too. Well job on helping me to keep track of my money comes and goes.

This is a useful app but a little confusing to use. I hope that the design could be made better and user friendly.
